There may also be a cough in some cases, and the patient has severe pain while coughing. Severe cold and poor health also usually cause it, and the disease is more common in men than women.

Treatment

Complete bed rest is essential. Keep the room warm and avoid a humid climate. Complete restriction of speaking is necessary Use aspirin to relieve pain and fever. Sitting near a steam (boiling pot of water) is helpful in cases of sore throat or congestion.

By resting, this disease usually gets better by itself. If there is no improvement after two or three days, consult a doctor and take appropriate measures for cough.

Tonsillitis is also a type of sore throat in which germs attack the tonsils (the two almond-sized glands on either side of the throat). Even swallowing pain causes pain, the voice becomes heavy, and the patient usually has a high fever of 103 to 104 degrees.
