American scientists have discovered that outwardly beautiful and attractive people have a stronger immune systems.
A study conducted with the help of 159 student volunteers at Texas Christian University found that faces that were rated as 'beautiful' and 'attractive' by the majority of people also had better immune systems. was
The immune system of such beautiful people was seen to be stronger, especially against germs (bacteria).
The research is published online in the latest issue of the Proceedings of the Royal Society B, Biological Sciences.
"This research shows a clear connection between beautiful faces and a strong immune system," said Summer Mengel Koch, lead author of the paper and a Ph.D. scholar at Texas Christian University.
But why does this happen? Does the immune system cause beauty or does beauty improve the immune system?
Isn't there anything else that can boost your immune system as well as enhance your beauty? At present we do not know anything about this,” he said.
Knowing this will not be an easy task as it will require new research that is more comprehensive and detailed.
Any such research would take a lot of time because it would have to explore the relationship between beauty and security system strength from different perspectives.
